Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Baking Powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Applesauce

Instructions

Start Mixing

  1. Combine Flour, Baking Powder, Cinnamon, and Salt.
  2. Cream Butter and Brown Sugar next.

Add Eggs

When the butter mix is light, add the eggs one at a time.

Flour and Applesauce

  1. Put in a third of the flour mixture, then half of the applesauce. Mix until partly combined.
  2. Stir in another third of the flour, then the remaining applesauce.

Finish the Mix + Bake the Cake

  1. Add the last bit of the flour mixture. Stop when the mix is smooth.
  2. Oil your bundt cake mold and pour the batter in. Bake at 350F for about 60 minutes.

Hint: For the best texture, don't overmix the batter. Stop mixing as soon as it becomes smooth.

Substitutions

To make it dairy-free, use margarine or dairy-free butter instead of regular butter.

Variations

Add nuts or dried fruits to make it suit your taste or special occasions.

Equipment

A bundt cake mold works best. If using a different type, adjust the baking time.

Storage

Store in an airtight container. Freezing is also an option but might change the texture.

Make the perfect Applesauce Cake with this easy and foolproof recipe. Moist, flavorful, and ready in just 80 minutes. Your go-to dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

350g Flour

1 tbsp Baking Powder

10g Cinnamon

1 tsp Salt

220g Butter

350g Brown Sugar

2 Eggs

500g Applesauce

Salted Caramel

200g Sugar

50g Butter

120ml Cream

5ml Vanilla Extract

4g Salt ( Optional )

Instructions

Cake Batter:

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Beat softened butter and brown sugar together.
  3. Add eggs one by one to the light butter mix.
  4. Put a third of your flour mix into the butter mix.
  5. Add half the applesauce when partly mixed.
  6. Mix in another third of the flour mix.
  7. Add the rest of the applesauce.
  8. Finish with the last third of the flour mix.
  9. Stop when the mix looks the same all over.

Baking the Cake:

  1. Grease your bundt cake mold.
  2. Put the cake mix into the mold.
  3. Cook in a 350F oven for 60 minutes.

Making the Caramel

  1. In a saucepan, Bring Butter, Cream, Vanilla, and Salt to a simmer
  2. Meanwhile, melt the sugar in another saucepan
  3. Add the cream mixture in 3 parts when the sugar is melted and has a nice caramel color
  4. Mix in between each add
  5. Keep heating for 3-5 minutes or until it has the right consistency
  6.  Take off the heat and let it cool down
  7. When the caramel sauce is warm it is ready to use on your favorite dessert 

Topping

  1. Take cake out of the oven. Add sauce or eat as is.
  2. Enjoy!
