    Instructions

The mold is ready with butter, sugar, and apples.

    Prepare The Mold
Peel and remove the core of your apples, cut them into wedges, grease and line the mold, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and salt, spread the mix, and place the apples in the mold.

Mixing all the ingredients to make the cake batter and showing the texture.

    Make the Cake Batter
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt, add powders in parts to the egg mixture, alternate with the milk, and add melted butter.

Pouring the smooth batter in the prepared mold.

    Cut into pieces and Enjoy!

Hint: Ensure that the apples are arranged tightly at the bottom of the mold for even distribution. This helps in forming a beautiful caramelized apple layer on top of the cake, enhancing the overall flavor and appearance.

    Substitutions

If you are on a dairy-free diet, you can use almond milk instead of regular milk, and a plant-based butter substitute.

    Variations

Consider adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for a spiced version of this cake. You could also add some chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor.

    🍴 Equipment

    Getting The Mold Ready
    • Peeler: To peel the apples easily.
    • Knife: To cut and core apples.
    • 9-inch Pie Mold: To shape the cake.
    • Mixing bowls: To mix butter, brown sugar, and salt.
    • Parchment paper: To line the mold for easy release.
    The Cake Batter
    • Whisk: For a smooth egg and sugar mix.
    • Measuring cups and spoons: For correct amounts.

    Most Useful Equipment

If you have to pick one, the 9-inch mold is most important. It gives the cake its shape.

    Storage

Store the Caramel Apple Cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

    Top tip

Be careful not to overmix the batter as it can result in a dense cake. Mixing just until the ingredients are combined ensures a soft and moist cake.
