Enjoy the Sandwiches

Indulge in your messy but delicious S'mores Sandwich, either quick or fancier version.

Hint: When making the homemade marshmallow, ensure not to boil the mixture, and be patient with whisking to achieve the perfect peaks. The texture should be glossy and hold its shape well, which will give your S'mores Sandwich the ultimate gooey and luscious experience.

Substitutions

  • Bread: If you prefer a healthier option, whole grain bread can be used instead of brioche.
  • Dark Chocolate: Milk chocolate or even a chocolate-hazelnut spread could be used for a sweeter taste.

Variations

  • Berry S'mores Sandwich: Add some fresh berries for a fruity twist.
  • Nutty S'mores Sandwich: Add a layer of almond or peanut butter for a nutty flavor.
  • Spiced S'mores Sandwich: Sprinkle some cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, spiced touch.

Equipment

  • Stand Mixer: Essential for whisking the marshmallow to the right consistency. A hand mixer can be used, but it may take longer.
  • Torch: For the fancier version to get the campfire effect. If you don't have a torch, you can use a broiler.

Storage

Store any leftover homemade marshmallow in an airtight container at room temperature. The sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh.

Top tip

For the best results, use good-quality dark chocolate. It melts beautifully and balances the sweetness of the marshmallow, providing a rich and satisfying taste.
